A curious traveler

I like to think of me as a curious traveler. Before going to a particular place, I have to know what to expect there already, you know what I mean? I'm not the type whose spontaneous and itinerary for me is so important. I also really like the idea of walking tours, with the help of an expert tour guide, you won't be able to miss a thing about the places you're going. Speaking of such, it makes me remember my collage years. Used to volunteer at the local museum as a tour guide and I really had fun doing it.

By the way, have you ever been on walking tours? Have you heard about Context and their great idea? Context is a tour company, a network of scholars and experts organizing walking seminars to group of individuals touring a particular travel destination. If you're visiting Europe soon, why not consider London walking tours or London private tour or Paris private tour? Choose whether you want group tours along with other tourists or private walks, it's designed for your party alone.

For the intellectually curious traveler, I think this is something you shouldn't miss! Not just you're roaming around the place, you're learning at the same time also. What do you think?

Passports..

Supposedly we will wait for 45 days yet we had it last Sunday in our mailbox... we're glad we all set and just wait for the big trip coming soon. Ohhh everyday it gives me more excitements that so soon I'll be seeing my hometown once again and of course my family, relatives and Friends. Sure there's lots to catch up to do for more than 4 years of not seeing them you know, lol! Now i can't help to get more busier of preparing and gathering our stuff here and there! Lots of things to think about the pasalubung especial because we are known Filipinos of it! lol.

Myrtle one more time!

Myrtle beach is by far the most visited place of yours truly, not literally though, only through the internet. Many times I see pictures of friends going to that part of the country, then I read about their stories, that's why the place became so interesting to me. As of now, the search for the best accommodations in Myrtle seems to be nonstop. Why? Because there are so many! Actually I found another option for you to check out and am gonna be sharing it with you. If you want to take a break and enjoy the beach, the Towers at Myrtle beach is stands beautifully waiting for you.

It is located at the northern Grand Strand area, designed to let you see nothing but the best ocean view and nature scenes. The tower is a condominium type hotel complete with amenities that will surely pamper all their guest. By the way, drop by now at www.towersatnorthmyrtlebeach.com and have a chance to win a 4 night stay in a 2 bedroom condo. Just register, that's all you have to do.

I guess the visit to Myrtle will never end for me, I'm getting only a glimpse of it though but all I can say is that it's pretty. I would love to visit there personally, someday maybe.

Part of my weekend itinerary is to take photos here and there. From my kiddos, to our joyrides, my cooking, lots and lots of it. This time though I roamed around our backyard and took these shots. The beautiful flowers in our garden. My favorite one is the red rose, with all its dewdrops effect...lol!

How's everyone? Have great week ahead guys!

Myrtle tee time

Myrtle beach is of course known for its fantastic beaches and beautiful scenery. But aside from that it's also famous for its world class golf courses and tee times. If you're a golf enthusiast, no doubt the Myrtle area is among your dream playground, isn't it? If you do wanna visit the place and have the best golfing experience, you might try checking out www.48hourteetimes.com. A website especially designed for all your tee time reservations. With them you can plan your next game within 48 hours, I mean they're pro in last minute availability so you don't have to worry about the dates, venue, whatever it is.

48 hour tee times also offer the most affordable rates, one can really save much if you take it from them. I must say they also have the widest selection of golf courses and also have accommodations if you want. Pretty sure nothing could be better than playing your favorite game and at the same time visit Myrtle. Both of which I haven't experience myself yet, lol! Anyway, for those interested just visit them online and be a member, it's free!

Happy weekend wherever you are!

LOL! (the toilet story)

It's weekend once again and as always, now's the perfect time to relax a bit and bond with our loved ones. I also want to wrap this week with a hilarious joke so I thought of browsing some at my favorite humor site. And the following got me laughing, I mean LMAO!!! Read on and promise don't pee.. :D

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other toilet saying:
'Hi, how are you?'

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom
but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed,
'Doin' just fine!'

And the other person says:
'So what are you up to?'

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
'Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!'

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.
'Can I come over?'

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them
'No..I'm a little busy right now!!!'

Then I hear the person say nervously...

'Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other toilet who keeps answering all my questions.'

Hahahahahah!

I used to see motorhomes only at movies but when I moved here in the States, every now and then I see one. I wonder how is it like? I mean living on the road, going to wherever you wanna be, now that's cool isn't it? So I thought of browsing how much a used motorhomes would cost and wow, did found lots of great deals. Kinda expensive though but for those adventurous type of people, I think they will really like it. How about you, does living on the go sounds fun to you?

So as i just mentioned We're going to Alabama this coming couple of days so I'm off here for more or less 5 days. We'll be attending an annual convention, something we look forward to every year. As i said awhile ago that I'm sorting things, there's alot to be done. Like I have to finish all the laundry, clean the house, etc. Have to throw piles of trash here, lol! Including some prenate dha vitamins. I have a couple of expired bottles and I feel sorry can't use it anymore. If only I found these earlier, I could have send it home. Anyway, busy days are ahead of me. Will see you around still, happy week ahead!

Wow Horizon

I bet it can be confusing to choose which would be the best place to be in Myrtle Beach. I'm confused too because everything sounds fantastic. Well it should be for it's Myrtle after all. So I guess it depends on a person's taste where to stay and where to spend the getaway. If you're the type who loves tranquility and nature, yet adventurous too who likes to hop here and there easily, then you must consider http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com. The Horizon is amongst Myrtle Beach best hotels known for its indoor and outdoor amenities, including pools, recreation plaza, condominium style suites, oceanfront views, golf packages and so much more. They say the perfect way to get that tan is to be at the rooftop sun deck at this Myrtle Beach hotel.

Oh well, it's the best time of the year to plan a vacation isn't it? The weather is great, the sun is so inviting, and school days are not yet here. Happy weekend everyone! Have a blast!

EYEBALL...

The other night was a hard night for me to cook something for dinner.. i can't think of anything to start with. So what i did is grabbed stuff from the fridge and start chopping even though i don't know what am doing...haha! I turning the stove put the skillet let it warm, then drag the chicken to chopping board start slicing it up like strips, took an onion, couple of garlic gloves, a tomato and an inch of a ginger root... so gathered all together! I threw them one at a time in the skillet( still don't know what am trying to cook).. after all the condiments simmering i poured the sliced chicken... now the hard part how to make it flavorful! I look at my spice rack grabbed the paprika and cumin dashed them in the cooking skillet, and sprinkled it some ground pepper and garlic salt! I stirring them for 5minutes still thinking what to put i saw the jar of honey so took it and poured at least half a tablespoon. Then timely my mother in-law handed me her fresh produce from her garden so i though Zucchini would be nice for a final touch so it has a green veges with it! While simmering was hoping that will turn it good. Then in my nice surprised i cooked yummy and inviting food for dinner! My kiddos loves it a lot and my husband finished every bit on his plate! What a cooking huh! So i called this new recipe of mine... Stir fry Chicken with ginger/honey sauce and slice zucchini with paprika and cumin spices and of course rice is the compliment. Try it taste really good!

Let's go to the beach!

Every time I hear those words I get excited. Cause it spells joy and fun when people visits the beach. I like to see them go swimming and snorkeling, just them though cause I can't do such things. Yes, I don't know how to swim and I hate it. It's fine though cause I prefer strolling around and explore the place than go swimming. Anyway, our vacation is fast approaching and the beach is part of our itinerary of course, LOL!

On a second note, A friend is asking for some info's about resorts in Myrtle Beach. Before the classes starts, she wants to have a getaway with her family, to treat the kids you know. So told her to check out http://avistaresort.com. Avista is one of the top rated oceanfront Myrtle beach hotel and according to the reviews, it has one of the best amenities, service, indoor and outdoor activities, and golf courses too. Plus it's not that expensive and there's plenty of packages to choose for everyone to enjoy.

I'm hoping my friend can find a good deal, so she and her family can relax and unwind before the busy days comes. And me too, I just can't wait for our coming vacation!

Cool School

Some peeps thinks of school as somewhat boring even if they do want to to study. But you know what, school can be so fun nowadays. Through sat prep courses, that is. A student doesn't need to go to the classroom and meet with their teachers, rather they meet via a live and in-demand video classroom online. Now that's cool isn't it? And this platform is available worldwide which aims to help student learn efficiently. Just follow the links if you want to know more about it.

Did I mention you awhile ago about my inbox full of junk mails? Until now I still have it, lol! There are so many links and offers, like beauty products, dating sites, to testosterone boosters, etc. Sometimes my important mails gets lost if I don't go through them one by one. The irony thing though is that I don't complain. Why? Because sometimes these stuff that seem to be useless, are the very same things that compensates me. I think you know what I mean by that, lol!

But luckily, there are now ways to help control it and make it more bearable. Most info's are found online, coming from doctors and patient's as well. It's just good to know that we can now look for means to solve some of our lives problems.
