Oriental Supermarket, Orlando

I wasn't aware that Orlando, Florida has a huge oriental supermarket. I got pretty excited knowing they have all kinds of Asian goods from grocery to bakery, seafood, produced and even whole roasted pig and pecking duck! It's located at center Orlando. It's where the bosses go for the restaurant supplies and stuff. I am very excited to drive there on my off day and go check the big market for myself and the husband. I've heard a lot of nice things has to offer on that market. We'll do an updates more and pictures as soon as we get there! Wink.

Hard Case for the Hard Core Musician

Musicians are one of the most fascinating people in the world no doubt about it. They make it look so easy, like they’re just playing with their toys but the instruments they’re dealing with are complicated and not an easy thing to master. The passion for music runs through their veins and shows in what they do, which makes them so amazing! Not to mention they do look good too! For a guitarist, especially when they are carrying something like the classic classic ibanez hard case at Musicians Friend with an attitude, they just rock! Gotta check it out for your self if you love musics and stuff.

Weekend planned

Thank goodness it's Friday again. Where the family is heading? Well, we thought of having a joy ride since i have my day off on the weekend why not take the kids to Cocoa Beach an hour and ten minutes drive from us. Been there once just a quick pit stop and that place is beautiful. They have the best beaches you could spend a day! Telling ourselves to go back there one day and have some roaming around downtown and of course beaching! So excited by the weekend planned. Wink!

For the Bistro

In my previous post I mentioned about my boss looking for music instruments and accessories since they want to have a band in the restaurant soon. They want it to be something special, like a different taste of music every night. Might as well share them this good vandoren m15 13 series at wwbw and other woodwind and brass instruments, such a good deal they will find here. I'm honestly looking forward having a band in the restaurant, want them to play some country music baby! That will make working a little less tiring and a whole lot of fun.

Brits Abroad: Why We Move Overseas and Where We Go

According to a study by the Office of National Statistics, around 350,000 British people move overseas every year, which is quite alarming when you think about it. While the UK has a lot to offer in terms of career opportunities, education and housing – three of the most important assets – it’s countries more further afield that have the pull factor with Australia and the UAE holding the top positions in terms of where the Brits are heading.

Many put this down to the climate with both countries far warmer than the UK, but there are a number of other contributing factors such as the tax-free salaries, stunning architecture and beautiful beaches on offer in the Emirates. Moving further afield to countries such as Australia isn’t for everyone, with many choosing to leave the UK preferring to stay within Europe. In fact, European countries make up around one third of the chosen destinations with countries like Portugal, Spain and France all in there. One of the reasons for that being that it’s now much cheaper than it used to be to buy a property in Europe from an agent like portugalproperty.com with the overall cost of living nowhere near it’s peak at the turn of the millennium.

While countries such as the UAE and its most popular cities – Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah – are filling up with Britons looking for a new way of living, a lot of them aren’t looking at staying forever with around 63% of people involved in a recent NatWest International Personal Banking study saying that they would look to move back to the UK at some point. It’s easy to see why they’ve moved out there in the first place, however, with the rapid expansion in industries such as construction, banking, tourism and oil offering numerous career opportunities from the ground right up to managerial positions all of which are – as already mentioned – tax free.

No matter how appealing the prospect of moving abroad might be, there are always a number of factors that complicate the process. The first of which being the fact that you will have to adapt to their way of living. What might be legal in the UK might not be where you’re moving to or you may have to drive on the opposite side of the road – which will certainly take some getting used to! Some countries have businesses that will close for several hours during the day or may not open at all on certain days of the week, and you’ll also have to make sure that you give yourselves the best chance of integrating into the neighbourhood by meeting your neighbours and trying to learn the language.

You’ll also have to get used to the exchange rate. Sometimes you don’t noticed just how much you’re spending on a holiday because the price sounds similar to what

Yesterday had my day off, supposedly we are planned of going to West Palm beach an assembly however, somethings came up unexpectedly so we just instead gone for driving to coastal line up to Melbourne. As we drive along our way we saw some county fair happening on that area. Looking fun and lots of people there. We saw some rides, food vendors and traffic ahead of us. The entire street was so busy, parking in the grass and everything. We thought of taking the kids inside but it was like 5 in the afternoon already and we still have to drive home. So maybe next time since the state have so many events and festival here and there this time of the year.

High End Functional Women Fashion by ANATOMIE WEAR

In my previous post, I have disclosed my affection for anything and everything red that is why I was so happy to get a dress from Anatomie Wear. It’s the Monika Short Sleeve V-Neck, ballerina dress in red. This is no ordinary dress, as we all know Anatomie Clothing line is famous the world over for their designer styles and the use of travel-friendly materials. I was very excited to sport on different looks with the little red dress. First the girl-next-door look in which I paired it with a floral pink wedge. The second one is the rough and rugged look which was so easy to achieved, all I gotta do was grab a sporty leather jacket and boots. What I realized about my Monika dress from Anatomie Wear is that they really proved true to their promise by providing their clients travel-friendly and stylish outfits. The fabric is tough and sturdy yet comfortable to wear whatever the weather. It dries so fast that you must include it in your luggage and since it’s super stylish, it’s just perfect for whatever mood you’re in during your surprise weekend getaway or planned travel escapade.

Obviously I couldn’t get enough of my little red dress, so today is “Love the second time around” kind of day cause I’ll try to come up with a different look with it. I opted to go casual and carefree and wearing an equally pretty ballerina lepard flats will make me look like a gypsy. Oh and I have to grab my favourite matching scarf and yes braid my hair! The trick is to not go for accessories this time, but the free-spirited and cheerful kind of lad brightens up your day, though handbag would be great too. Winks!

Wide selection of designer fashion brand from dresses to tops, jackets, bottoms and more. Follow them on Twitter for more updates.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Florida

Another great weekend with fantastic four, lol! This time we headed to Disney's Vero Beach Resort, a 30 minutes short drive from us. Fortunately, The hotel and Resort is owned by famous Disney. I've been wanting to go inside the hotel for quite sometimes since we got here, but just doesn't have the right moment to do so, however today was the great day and thought of passing by there after our joy ride to the coastal line of beach side. The hotel is really amazing! That is the main lobby in the photo on top, then we went straight to the general gift store. Didn't get much except few lil souvenirs and stuff, key chains, fridge magnets and kids candies ofcourse all made of Micky and Minnie mouse, lol.

So therefore guys, if you happened to go visit Florida this time of the year, consider this place i would very much recommend this for you and your family or friends to enjoy your stay here in the land of sun and sand, FLORIDA. Wink!

Random thoughts in the morning

We have a new Taiwanese girl at the restaurant and I’m looking forward to work with her. She seems really nice and fun to talk to and what I like is that we have the same Asian roots, so we kind of clicked instantly. One of the things we have in common is about immigration and all about the crazy stuff we need to get done to live happily here in the US. Speaking of, I might need an attorney’s service soon like what immigration attorney los angeles. I really want my parents to come over here next year and will definitely need non-immigrant visas for them. Can’t help but be so excited, winks!

World’s Oldest Shipwrecks

Oceanographers have discovered the wrecks of two Phoenician vessels dating from about 750 B.C.E., reports the French magazine Sciences et avenir. The 48 [15]- and 58-foot [18 m] boats, lying off the coast of Israel at a depth of about 1,600 feet [500 m], are the oldest ships ever found in the open sea. The boats had set off from the port of Tyre carrying earthenware wine amphorae, probably bound for Egypt or the North African city of Carthage. As quoted in the International Herald Tribune, the discoverer of the ships, Robert Ballard, noted: “The great depths that exist in the oceans, the absence of sunlight, the great pressures, seem to preserve history far more than we thought.” The researchers said that this discovery “could help to open up a whole new chapter in the research on this ancient maritime culture.”

Just a thought

The idea of becoming a real estate agent has always sound inviting to me. I know I have the skills of my father when it comes to marketing but I’m also like my mom who’s straight to the point, yes means yes and no means no, lol! So basically that’s my dilemma, there were several offers before for that field but I guess it’s not yet the right time. Why the sudden thought of this? Well I came across GoConnect App, the real estate agent checklist. Watching the video, looks like the challenging world of brokers is becoming as easy as Instagram-ing. You wanna know what I mean? Check it the link. Winks!

Bonding Time at the Beach

We love going places on the weekend! That's what we keep in mind since our lives are busy during weekdays of working. This time we headed up to the beach with my Filipina sis in-law (bayaw) with her family. They just had their first baby girl and it was baby's first time going to the beach so far actually. I am acting the aunt nanny last Saturday afternoon while they're having fun swimming.

We really enjoyed that day, lovely weather, cool breeze because we went like 4:30 in the afternoon when the sun is not so humidly hot. We brought our tent an instant shade thing so that we don't get sunburn still. Weather here in Florida is so predictable you know even at this time of the year. The state always get warmer weather than any other states, we're more in tropical side you know.

Furthermore, this side of the beach is where beach goers loves to spend all day by their folks because it's more secluded, i must say it's one of the private beach area here in town. So if you like less parking, less people and not a crowded to have your sun bathing or any activities you wanted to do, the place is best to go. We even saw a lil further away people are fishing, lol.

Fond of Watch

More than me my sister is fond of watches, she likes it better than accessories and jewelries. She drools over big and bold watches so I bet she like this style from Reeds, a whopping beautiful Movado crystal watch. I would get this one if I won the lottery, which I know will never happen, lol! Kidding aside, it's so lovely I am also drooling now. The good thing with watches is that even though they can be expensive but there's no denying that it's a worthy investment. The good ones can last long if not a lifetime, not to mention a statement that can sure stand alone without needing anything fancy to go along.

Park & Fitness Trail

It is my kids favorite park here in our place, (sorry for not remembering the name of this park tho), lol. Anyway, since we found this area of creation we got hooked and keep visiting there because it's not just a park instead there's a part somewhere very close for fitness and exercise for adults and even children can do the fun. Fitness trial is really nice to go to because it's shady lots of trees and flat paths. We had fun last Sunday, kids able to enjoyed on the playing stations. After the couple hours of sweating, we headed up to the fitness area of the park then went along follow the trail tho didn't completed it because four of us got hungry for lunch, haha. We planning on going back there again perhaps this coming weekend.

The park is actually nicer than the other we go to. The slides are colorful, talking about purple and pink huh, the monkey bars are yellows, swings as well. The park is never boring! You gotta check this recreational place if you get to come by! Wink.

A weekend at St. Augustine, FL

Historical Spanish Port

~Photos are not mine~

Just wanted to get away in our busy city for a lil bit and the place i am thinking right now is ST. Augustine beach, Fl. We've been there twice for a quick detour from our trip to Tn and i must say one of the beautiful place on earth it is! I wanted to go there and stay for a day or two and just stroll around the entire downtown square, how cool is that! We fell in love to this place since we first seen it. It's full of history and land marks that you can ever imagine. Beautiful Spanish structures, villas and the historical port is the original when the Spaniards first came to land in the US. I tell you, st. Augustine is the place worth to visit and enjoy the time of your life. You've got to see their amenities and everything the city has to offer. From amazing accommodations to breath taking views.

So anyway, it's approximately more or less 2.5 hour drive from us not bad actually. I just can't wait until he said pack our bag and we will spend the weekend somewhere but not here (home). Looking forward to the weekend again despite our week just started! Wink.

Happy weekdays ahead everyone!

Car Shows Event in South Florida

Just went to a car shows here in our locale. Had fun with family strolling around watching those cool looking cars we ever seen. Some are vintage, high ends, and just cool. I'm not so much of cars however, husband and son both love this type of things. I think it's a manly thing huh. My son adores cars in particular racing cars. Moment like this we won't let him miss so taking kids here and there is wonderful. We love seeing him happy watching those awesome and his favorite cars.

~Photos are mine~

Lots of colorful cars arrived and they are competing the best car in the show. Randomly selected by votes of visitors.

I noticed yellow and red cars stands out among everybody. Some are so dainty and neat.

More yellows here and there!

The smallest rice car it is, the driver seat is just about the size of my 6 year old son. He is so wanted to take a short ride inside just feeling like a real race car driver, but there's kids ahead of us so we told him maybe next time he can.
My daughter's favorite car in the event, ofcourse it is purple! lol. But she don't want to take a pose with it because she said "that's not mine, it's someone else". Smart girl! Yet we all had fun. Wink!

Road Trip

I was offline yesterday for a road trip on the other side of Florida at the Pacific coast. Went along with the husband for his furniture delivery to one very valued costumer. I had fun just having the long joy ride lately. Twas more or less 3.5 hours for going there and another 3.5 hours coming back. Well, there's only 2 roads to go and we've chosen the shortest route going to Okeechobee rather than to ft. Lauderdale which is longest however it is more scenic because you are driving the coastal line of Atlantic coast but time wise we need to get there and back on time. So our trip yesterday was just pure business and it was tiring but productive! We're all hungry so we headed to Apple Bee's for dinner of course with our kids who waited us at there grandparent's house, lol. But definitely going to Ft Lauderdale pretty soon! Wink.

Indian River Mall - Vero Beach Florida

Garden Grove food court is one of our favorite place to hang around. We are not really fond of going shopping that day however yours truly was craving for a Chinese food meanwhile, kids unanimous request is Italian (pizza and spaghetti). So where else we could think and find everything we craved for that night is at the mall! They have quite variety of food court, from Italian food, Cuban, American burgers and fries to Oriental cuisines mix of Chinese-Filipino. Moreover, there are sweets and treats as well for the desserts. Really cool place to just relax and chilled. You better check it out!

Inspired!

Today I saw something in the television that got me inspired. What about it? Home interior decoration and lightning! It’s really true that a home need not be a mansion to look beautiful, you just got to be resourceful and creative. The husband is planning to have a separate room, like a home theatre and I saw some really great ideas fit for it. I want to paint those egg trays red for a cozy room effect. Another thing, Lighting tips for modern interior are really helpful when it comes to proper placing of light to create a nice, just the right atmosphere for every corner of your home. Winks!

Blue Monday - Joy ride at Oceanside Ft Pierce, FL

Smiling Sally

Weeks ago we went for a joy ride with our daddy (kiddos and I). He's then out for business calls meanwhile for us, we just enjoying the scenic views of the places we drove by going to his destinations. The beautiful photos just speak for it self. As we passed to this location the blue building caught my very eyes. It is indeed stunning. This building if am not mistaken is an apartment by the beach.

Meanwhile, as we drive along the coastal line, we saw some beautiful hotels and buildings. Another log-stone building that simply caught my attention. I love how the way it looks, the stones and logs compliment each others. I told my husband that's my dream house and i wanted him to build exactly the same for us in the future, lol.

I never get tired driving around if the views are like these, relaxing and beautiful! Plus the weather is lovely. Life is good.

Busses

Back home in the Philippines, when it comes to travel, the most common or shall I say most budget-friendly and enjoyable means of transportation is through big buses. I still can remember having to travel 13 long hours via bus, I actually prefer and love it more than airplanes and ferries. Road trips indeed has this soothing feeling, like it feels so good being able to just sit back, laze yourself, and see the never ending road and beautiful sights. Well that was in the Philippines, here in the US, not ones I tried riding a bus, so yeah imagine how I missed the feeling?

Out of curiosity, I gave All About America, the leader in motorcoach industry a visit. It is a company that’s all about bus charters and anything related to “by land” means of transportation. So I learned that their fleet includes:

  • 9 passenger vans
  • 48 passenger full size luxury touring motorcoaches
  • 56 passenger full size luxury touring motorcoaches
  • 71 passenger school buses (equipped with a/c and seat-belts)

Features also includes reclining seats, Wi-Fi, restrooms, foot rest, DVD, CD and VCR plus so much more! Imagine how cool those big buses are! When I think of riding a bus and actually travel by land soon, I cannot help but smile. Geez I missed the feeling so bad! Lol!

Seafood Destination - Florida

Fall is just around the corner which means starts to get busy again. Vacationers from up north is going down to sunshine state. The weather is pretty much beautiful all year round, although we may get a lil bit cool but that's it! A state that rarely gets cold. That's why during cold seasons people are staying here until the spring approaches. One great thing to experience on the land of sand and sun is the seafood galore. Best seafood destination, from great dining experience, gourmet food and nice restaurants name it! All year round Florida have this seafood festivals and events. All sorts of seafood delicacies from different origins gather together. Luckily, we attended two of those festivals recently. Can't wait for the next one coming! Counting the Days

When I hear those words above, I can’t help but think of home, the Philippines. I missed everyone especially my family. I can’t wait to wake up late in the mornings knowing that my mom had already prepared breakfast for us. My heart skips when I think of having a nap beside my grandmother again. I giggle when I think of riding the motorbike with my father, and feel so excited, certain that my sissy and cousins are my kids’ babysitters. I longed for the day and I know it’s going to be soon which makes me even more excited! So anyway, since I’m home sick, why not search for some friendly flight rates back home.

I am actually thinking of doing so via an agency. Like have someone professional process everything from our papers to the tickets, etc. Thus to avoid hassle and missing stuff, I’ll just have to sit back and relax while waiting for the flight. But then I strongly believe that I’m a good travel organizer, lol! Modestly aside, having able to work for a travel agency before I know the basics, the good side and the bad so why not do the booking myself. There are online websites anyway that can provide me with the necessary stuff and since it’s online, I can search for better rates, even discounts. I saw some great deals from there and here for US Airways, just trying to decide which date would be perfect. (Can’t help dreaming/wishing/hoping :D)

By the way i know you guys planning also for a much awaited getaway, right? So just check online deals from time to time and in no time you will mostly get what you are looking for! Always remember patience is a virtue, wink!

Food Truck Frenzy

I know this is popular across America! I've heard my aunt in CA about food truck as well and is it indeed the most known around California state. I used to just watch them compete on television food channel and wished to be there one day! And so my wish granted me to experienced one awesome event! Food truck frenzy is invading Florida right now, it is a huge outdoor picnic where food trucks of different places, cuisine and menus food that is cooked as you order. Am not talking fast food because bunch of the food trucks are run and manage by chefs! Japanese, Italian, Filipino, American and so on so fort kind of great fusion cuisine, comfort foods, soulful food and of course sweet treats. Great deals to choose from. Worth to try and i advice you to roam and check the entire trucks first before you decide what to order because they're bunch of them that are so bloody good! We had a  good experienced last Saturday at our locale.

Definitely watching for their next pit stop which i believed just close by. Wink!

Being that Niagara Falls is one of the Natural Wonders of the world, it stands to reason that it is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Given that so many people from around the globe travel to this region, there is no shortage of Niagara Falls hotel and accommodations. In fact, there are some 160 plus accommodations in the area, including hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and inns. Whether you're looking for a full-service hotel that will accommodate your every whim or a more intimate setting, like a bed and breakfast, is more up your alley, a bed and breakfast may be more what you are looking for.

Difference Between Accommodations

Wondering what the difference between a hotel, motel, inn and bed and breakfast is? Here's a look at some of the distinctive traits of each:

Hotel: A hotel typically provides the most elaborate accommodations. Jacuzzi suits, restaurants, room service and plush accommodations are typically offered at hotels.

Motels: Motels typically offer the basic items that a traveler would need, including bedding, a shower, phone and television. Some motels also provide Continental breakfasts and pools, as well.

Inns: Inns are very similar to motels in that they typically provide only the basics that you would need while traveling; however, an inn offers a more family-friend, cozy feeling than a motel. They are usually family owned and operated.

Bed and Breakfast: A bed and breakfast offers the most intimate experience of them all. A bed and breakfast is usually run out of someone's home or a house that used for the sole purpose of a bed and breakfast. Bedrooms are let out for rent, which are private, but other areas of the home are shared public spaces, including living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens and in some bed and breakfasts, the bathrooms are shared as well.

White sands

South Causeway Park, Ft. Pierce, FL - I must say one of the nice local beaches around. It reminds me of Philippines beaches with white sand open drive way along the beach, over looking seashore while you are driving through, coconut trees here and there which is what i love about the place. Picnic tables with individual grilling section. It's definitely a kinda beach i would enjoy spending the whole entire day. Just relaxing and chilling out with family or friends. Go check out for your self and you will be happy that you found this place! Wink!

One stop shop for luggages and more!

As with most people, when you fly or take a trip somewhere, you are going to need luggage. I found the perfect place to get all of your luggage, sports bags, backpacks or any other type of bag. They have a Huge Range Of Luggage and everything seems to be priced just right. I know when we traveled to the Philippines, we needed alot of luggage, both for us and the kids. Tesco direct has all the bags and backpacks for adults and the kids too, so you can get everything you need in one place.

They have all of the name brand logos too, like Spiderman, Peppa Pig, Monster's Inc, Disney Princesses, Transformers, Thomas the Train and Friends and many, many more! Also, the adult bags are endless too. Backpacks, shoulder bags, suitcases, shopping trolleys, business bags, messenger bags, holdalls and many more. Talk about having a Huge Range Of Luggage! They have a huge range of colors and designs too.

Many of them have wheels to make them easier to pull around the airport or wherever you take them. They have hard case bags and the normal soft, fabric ones too. Also, who can forget all the accessories that one will need when they travel? Tesco direct didn't forget! They carry everything that you can possibly need. Digital luggage scales, money belts, power adapter plugs, inflatable pillows, luggage ID's, padlocks and many more items! Be sure to check them out and see for yourself all of the great products that they carry.

The next trip that we make, I will be sure to check with Tesco direct to be sure that we have everything we will need for the trip. One great thing about Tesco direct is that they carry more than just luggage and accessories. They have many more categories to choose from, so you can shop for many things all at one time. Check them out at Tesco direct.

I am still in ecstatic and overwhelmed mode until now! I can't imagine most of my favorite Filipino fruit trees are available here in our locale. Glad we move her in sunny state, i just get them in drive away! Banana is my favorite fruit ever, ripe or green i love them both! As well the papaya, we all know papaya is good for body and beauty. Meanwhile, guava fruits are so rare here but when we went for a ride to the husband going on Ric's Garden World (one of his clientele). They have most of the fruit trees that we have in the Philippines and for that knowing i am so happy! Even coconut trees are present with plenty of coconut on top, lol! Anyway, thought by the end of the week we are going to go back to the nursery and get my fruit trees! Can't wait! Excited mode! Winkz.
