Once upon Last Saturday: BREVARD ZOO - Melbourne, Florida

Yes it was last Saturday, the family rose early and was eagerly anticipating on a new experience that would sure bring a smile to all our faces. Where are we going? It was the perfect sunny day to visit to Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida, 45 minutes drive from our city. It was indeed one of the great experienced we had here in Florida. My family and I got fortunate to be given the invitation to visit the wonderful zoo and we are grateful for that. It's been for awhile we are excited to go there actually and timely last Saturday we were in the mood for a ride so daddy took us early that morning! I must say there are so much things to do at the Brevard Zoo! From watching the animals, exhibits, treetop trek, train ride to kayaking and so much more.

Kids were ecstatic upon entering to the zoo, the lil man was very much excited and can't help himself exploring at the Paws On area, best place for lil kids to play and just have the best time of their life. They have Gopher Tortoise INN and thought that is the coolest thing, it's like you are at the Tortoise habitat, the giant Turtle welcome you first. The lil man made a posed with it!

Kids have the petting zone, where all cute animals awaits them, such as llamas, goats, an armadillo and the coolest one ever as what they called the 16 year old tortoise. Then, the next pit stop was at the wildlife detective training academy it was the highlight of our day. My kiddos spent like an hour inside, they love crawlies and was able to hold lizards. Not to mention they both love lizards of any kind, my girl even wanted to bring the big one home to be her pet, very silly girl! lol.

~ One of my favorite moment, at the crocodile farm, or at Wild Florida, lol. Of course i had to have a souvenir from them. I conquered my fear to be with the croc entrance sign and managed to took a candid photo with it, haha! Not scared anymore! Literally, it's my first time to be so close to a reptile and it's a HUGE one! So, if you wanted to see a real big one? Brevard Zoo has it!

More of the beautiful and coolest animals we have seen there. I felt so lucky and so as my family to be able to see the Giraffes so close and personal, you could touch them from head unlike most of zoos i've visited they can only be seen far from a distance you know! Another thing i love about the Brevard Zoo is that they are very much equip and they really wanted you to enjoy every moment you were there. The staff greets you nicely and very friendly.

I was going crazy (in a good way) haha, when we are at the Australia/Asia part of the zoo, because we were able to see in our naked eyes and literally touch some of the most gorgeous birds I've seen, one particular are the colorful stunning Lorikeet birds! Where you can feed them at your bare hands! Cool huh? Of course, the famous and the most beautiful birds are present too, I am talking about the Flamingos! They are my favorite birds of all time and whenever we go zooing, i never miss the chance to take beautiful pictures of them, just love love them!

Kids still on their mode about what we did on the weekend. The lil man, keep saying " I really really love that zoo... i wanna go back there again!". Likewise the lil girl! Definitely we will be going back there again! So, when you have your vacation here in sunshine state? don't miss to stop by and explore the zoo. Planned your visit and have fun guys! Check them out at Facebook and Twitter for more latest updates and tweets!

I still have plenty to share, more cool photos and about the awesome Art of Sand exhibit experienced!

Let’s talk ATVs

No doubt, one of the most famous types of recreation right now is the use of four-wheeled All Terrain Vehicle or ATV. Can you imagine the fun and adventure riding in one in sandy dunes or wooden trails? The adrenalin rush would take anyone to the coolest ride they could ever have. There are different types of ATV and each specially designed according to its usage. ATV 4x4 for example, aside from looking so cool, this type of ATV accordingly lightweight, can handle bumps, turns and jumps. It’s also the best buddy to any weather, it’s so tough you can conquer the road out there. It’s what they use for sports and recreation since it can be customized and enhanced depending on style and performance.

Side by side ATV is very popular too, it has powerful engine and can carry passengers and cargo. They look a lot like golf cart, with an attitude of course. What’s so cool is that this type of ATV can be registered in highway use, yep, you can get a license plate and drive it along your neighborhood. There’s more, you can also use it as a utility vehicle, in fact some designs are considered as the best side by side UTV because even if they are small, you can carry it in your truck but they’re powerful enough to handle a job.

Actually I’m browsing at Bench right now, they’re a website that provides you with the best looking and toughest ATVs like the Bighorn. I’m drooling for the Bighorn 400, but I doubt if I can handle it, lol! There are also ATVs for the kids, pretty much smaller and just for fun. Guys, do you imagine yourself going to the grocery or just driving around the hood in an All Terrain Vehicle? That would be so cool isn’t it?

Yo coach potato!

Are you a couch potato? Well if I could I would. There’s no wrong spending a day just watching your favourite movies and falling yourself to sleep but just don’t do it often that it affects your duties already. Anyway, if you do want to be a couch potato, for just a day, just make sure you have a bunch of good movies, food and a good monitor stand. Yes, monitor stands will accordingly prevent neck pain because of the proper elevation and positioning of the television. The same thing goes as with any monitors, I think that’s why they’re created, to make our lives easier huh! Yep, needless to say. Have a good day everyone!

Have you ever spent any amount of time wondering why so many people choose to vacation on some far away tropical island paradise? Most people never put much thought into it because it is pretty much common sense. There are three words that give it away. Those words are: tropical, island, and paradise. Who doesn''t like the sound of that? There are very few people who will not smile when they hear those three words.

Are There Any Tropical Islands That Are Better Than Others?
This is a question that millions of people are asking themselves every single year when it comes time to start planning their next vacation. There really is not answer. Some people will think one island is better than another. It is just human nature. We all have our opinions, but it is easy to see that some islands are more popular than others. Why do so many people choose a vacation Cook Islands? This is a very popular choice because people love everything that these beautiful islands have to offer. What''s not to like about a tropical island paradise? Oh wait. We already discussed that. There is nothing to not like about tropical islands and the Cook Islands are no different.

Research Helps

How to Make the Most of a Day in Berlin

Berlin is the capital of Germany, and a lively city buzzing with energy you would expect from a major tourist hub in Europe. To soak up the vibe, begin your adventures from the Jewish quarter in the central Mitte district where you can find various budget hotels such as the Circus Hotel - or more expensive establishments with modern comforts such as Casa Camper.

Morning

Start your day with a breakfast at your hotel; you’ll need the energy for the morning’s activities. From there head over to Museumsinsel, a UNESCO recognised collection of museums which houses 6000 years of treasure found from around the world. Doors open at 10 am so queuing won’t be a problem. While you could easily spend an entire day just exploring these museums, focus your time in the Pergamonmuseum to check out the Greek Pergamon Altar and its Babylonian Ishtar Gate, which are both spectacular. From there head over to the Neues Museum where Egyptian artefacts decorate the galleries. After the early mornings brain straining, head over to the DDR museum where you’ll find the Spree River cruises set off to glide down the river. Sit back and enjoy the views of Berlin’s oldest buildings, beach bars, the government quarter and the central train station before disembarking to head for some lunch.

Afternoon

Take a taxi over to Fischers Fritz where you’ll be treated to Michelin Star chef Christian Lohse cooking up some fantastic fish and seafood dishes. Three course lunch meals are 47 Euros which is great value for such good food or, alternatively, get two courses for 35 Euros and visit the nearby chocolatier Fassbender & Rausch which is famous for making chocolate models of Berlin’s landmarks. Then it is time to take in some of the attractions of Berlin. Head over to Gendarmenmarkt, which is a graceful square sandwiched between German and French cathedrals and the brilliant Konzerthaus, Berin’s main concert hall. Detouring from here, head over to Checkpoint Charlie and the infamous Brandenburg Gate, both important Cold War sites for their respective reasons. Nearby to the gate is a Holocaust Memorial site consisting of 2711 sarcophagi like columns that rise up in sobering silence. With so much to do in the day and quite a distance to cover, it would be easier to rent a car in Germany to get from site to site.

Evening

Make your way back over to the Jewish quarter of Scheuenviertel to properly explore its vast array of winding lanes where you’ll find various gifts and accessories such as glasses, bags and local artworks. When it is time for dinner, Bavarian cuisine served up with a cold local beer at Schwarzwaldstuben is a great way to load back up on energy to finish off your day. Evening entertainment in Berlin is varied but the cabaret at Charmaleon Variete is a must. From there if you still have the energy and wish to sample some of Germany’s nightlife you can head over to Clarchens Ballhaus where locals will be dancing along the floor to tango and disco. For those with a more modern taste in music such as techno and house, Hit Weekend is your destination and during the summer months you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the rooftop lounge.

Vacation Planning Doesn't Have to be Difficult

When planning a family vacation, it is always important to save as much money as you possibly can. Of course making sure the vacation is enjoyable to everyone is top priority, but if there is any way that you can cut corners, that is always a bonus. Cutting corners on some of aspects of the trip, may allow you to have extra money for other things along the way.

There are many ways that you can save money on a vacation. There are plenty of deals out there that can be taken advantage of, you just have to know where to look for them. Many times, airlines will run promotions, offering lower rates on airfare. There may be specific terms, such as, booking the flight on certain days of the week, or specific times of the day. These are minor issues and are well worth the amount of money that can be saved on airplane tickets.

Certain hotels will also sometimes offer promotional deals to guests, as well. They too, may have certain criteria to receive the discounts, but once again, the savings will be well worth any minor inconvenience. Hotels typically offer a Continental Free breakfast to their guests. Eating breakfast at the hotel every morning that you are staying there will also save you a great deal of money.

The internet is always the first place I go to find the best discounts. There are many sites competing against one another to give the biggest deals. My go to site is always http://hotels.expedia.com/resorts/. I have always found the best rates on hotel rooms there.

Planning a family vacation or even a romantic getaway can be challenging at times. There are many ways that you can help make the process much easier. Instead of spending all of your time searching several sites for discounts, you can just stick to one site that will provide you with all of the deals you will need.

The Pink Palace Museum

Was fortunate to visit Memphis, Tennessee on our 5th wedding anniversary. We all aware that the city of Memphis is the home of the king of Rock 'n' Roll and his beloved Graceland Mansion. However, besides on that tourist spot another destination you shouldn't miss is the Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium. It is one famous museum in the state. The inside is all about displays of science, historical, educational attractions that preserved through the years. Each time they perform exhibits and events. I was here!

Another Memphis has to offer is their famous BBQ! Lots of known restaurants to choose from. Wink!

Just Curious

Last night was quite different because I got to finished all my duties, online and offline earlier. So what I did was browse random sights looking for sewing ideas, yep it’s my newest venture these days. I remember before when I used to have a lot of spare time, would often find myself stuck in different websites, mostly about facts and Did you knows. Yeah, I’m such a curious cat, interested in things I need, I need not. You know those website with the most beautiful horse in the world, the world’s most expensive purse, cigar rankings, which one on top, which one the cheapest? Yeah I would lurk in there and at the end of the day end up knowing things otherwise I would not know. I kinda missed those times, it’s nice going back there once in a while.
